Today at work, my colleagues and I had a very interesting discussion about writing diaries. One of my colleagues stated that it was healthy to write down your emotions for various reasons. Hours later, I decided to google some information on diaries, and I can gladly confirm that YES it is healthy to own/ write a diary.
Apparently, writing your feelings down releases some sort of stress and tension from your brain. As a consequence, most diseases that comes from bottling up your emotions, like depression disappears. Writing assists with regulating emotions unintentionally.
My advice of the day is keep writing! and for those who don’t write, START writing. Life is too short to be depressed 😉
